Former Manager of Leicester City, Claudio Ranieri, 65, has revealed that his sack from the club came to him as a huge shock.
Ranieri, who guided the English team to an unexpected English Premier League (EPL) Title last season, was sacked in February, following a run poor form of matches.
Ever since his dismissal, Ranieri has maintained a low profile but, however, appeared on stage during Rebibbia Prison ceremony, in honour of regional football coaches.
Ranieri, who spoke in front of inmates on Wednesday described the way he felt after being told he was sacked a day after Leicester City’s first leg defeat to Sevilla in the Champions League.
According to him, whenever he thinks of Leicester City, he feels shocked and surprised, even more than bitterness.
““Thinking of Leicester, the first thing that comes to mind is the sense of surprise, even more than bitterness.
“I have been through a lot in my long career, but never anything like this.
“It was a shock, but in the end, these things are part of football,” Ranieri said.
